Custom Adventures

With our expertise in arranging  adventures, Chessell Adventures is able to tailor a special expedition for your group of friends, family or colleagues.

We can arrange tailored adventures for groups of 10 or more participants. The adventure we arrange for your group might be one of our usual itineraries adjusted to fit your preferred dates, an itinerary we have used in the past, or one developed just for you.

Here are some ideas, or suggest one of your own:

AdventureDurationThe Short Story
Everest Scenic Flight, NepalHalf day
Fly along the front of the Himalayas and around the Everest region for a unique vantage point on those famous mountains
Everest View Trek, Nepal9 days
Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek into Sargarmatha National Park. The Everest view from above Khumjung is among the best in the whole area
Everest Base Camp Explorer, Nepal19 daysOur usual route takes in the Gokyo Valley and Cho La, but you could stick to the main Khumbu Valley route all the way for a slightly shorter trek
African Twin Peaks: Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru16 days
An acclimatisation trek and walking safari on Mount Meru, jeep safari in Arusha National Park, trek the Machame route to the summit Kilimanjaro ‘the Roof of Africa’ (5896m), and a private jeep safari to parks of your choice, but we recommend Tarangiri, Manyara, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti
New Zealand Mountaineering7 to 30 daysNZ is our old stomping ground and is an ideal place to learn solid mountain skills under the tutelage of excellent guides, or to climb amazing routes. The options range from leisurely courses at mountain huts, to self-supported long alpine rock routes, short fly-in-fly-out ascents of peaks like Cook and Tasman, and everything in between
Island Peak, Nepal22 daysPerhaps ‘the’ classic trekking peak, at the end of the Khumbu valley. The classic route ascends rocky tracks and moderate angled glaciers to the 6189m summit
Nevado Sajama, Bolivia
19 daysA warm up acclimatization trek from Cusco to Machu Picchu, across Lake Titicaca to climb Bolivia’s highest mountain, Nevado Sajama
Mount Elbrus, Russia
14 daysThe highest mountain in Europe can be trekked from ski slopes with picturesque acclimatisation….
Mount Blanc, France
7 daysOn the border of Switzerland and France, highest point in western Europe. Climbable with some preparation and a good UIAGM guide. Its neighbours offer harder, easier and different options for routes.
Denali, Alaska
4 weeks
The highest mountain in North America (and its in Alaska to boot) demands respect and commitment to a long hard, fun expedition
Aconcagua Grand Traverse, Argentina21 daysThe highest point in the Americas, 6962m. We suggest ascending the Vacas Valley, the false Polish Glacier route to the summit, descending the route normal (Horcones valley). This will give us a more picturesque and gentler approach to this huge mountain.
Ama Dablam, Nepal31 days
We have run many successful expeditions on the ‘standard’ SW Ridge Route. However the route has become too busy to be safe, so we would consider doing so again in a shoulder season. On the other hand, the North Ridge offers a less-travelled and achievable route up this stunning mountain in the Everest region of Nepal
Sailing expedition to the mountains of the Antarctic Peninsula21-42 daysCharter the Antarctic sailing vessel, her experienced crew, an expedition leader and 8 of you can climb or ski-tour the small or tall mountains of this last frozen land. Side trips for historical bases, penguin, seal and whale viewing and just to explore are perhaps the most wonderful ‘include’ ever
Mount Vinson, Antarctica6-8 weeksSea to Summit on the highest mountain in Antarctica! Or take a ski plane to the base.
